While full-time social media creators can earn anything from a few hundred dollars to massive nine-figure sums annually, a privileged class of uber-influencers with stable main jobs is always ready to step in for a quick six-figure deal.
Better known as “celebrities,” these famous figures from stage, screen, and sports have made “selling out” (or rather, monetizing) cool, seamlessly posting branded updates from their daily lives with apparent ease.
How much a celebrity makes on Instagram each year depends on their follower count, perceived clout, business acumen — and the number of times they’re willing to use that #ad tag.
To find which ones are earning the most in every state and the categories of sport, acting and music, Bored Panda analyzed over 90,000 Instagram posts from 850 celebrities and estimated their annual Instagram earnings.
