Support for Gun Control

Many public opinion organizations and presses have studies public opinion on gun control in the U.S for more than twenty years. Major tragedies like school shootings that have influenced public opinion. As of early March 2018, a preponderance of Americans supports more stringent gun laws, including comprehensive support for extensive background examination and necessary waiting periods for gun buying, forbidding sales of guns to persons under 21 years old and outlawing assault weapons.
